Team mascots hold a special place in our hearts. They’re our friends, comrades, and fellow fans at sporting events. They provide a burst of team spirit whenever we glimpse their pictures at work, school, or the grocery store. They stick with us through highs and lows, victories and defeats. And for some dedicated fans they’re honored guests at birthday parties and wedding celebrations. All American sports fans love their mascots, but – call us biased – we think ours is the best.
Louie of the St. Louis Blues
Most mascots know how to start a party, but Louie makes a great friend on and off the ice. He even has his own Facebook page! Louie has proudly supported the St. Louis Blues since he became their official mascot for the 2007 season. He’s been warming our hearts (and playing sweet music on his saxophone!) ever since.
“Eye” Skate with Louie
One of Louie’s favorite activities is meeting his fans. He loves the St. Louis Blues as much as you do, so he’s happy to share the team spirit with new friends. Did you know inline skating was invented to help ice skaters practice during warm weather? Louie did! He’s stopping by Fun Spot skating center to meet future Blues hockey players at our “Eye” Skate with Louie event. Meet your favorite blue polar bear, practice your skating skills, and even get an autograph from St. Louis’ blues-loving mascot.
Healthy kids doesn’t just mean staying active through roller-skating. It also means getting your eyes checked every year. After your kids get their picture with Louie, they can get their a free eye exam courtesy of the Lion’s Club.
It’s going to be an incredible weekend! Stop by Fun Spot on Saturday, September 20 from 1-5pm for “Eye” Skate with Louie. Your kids can meet their favorite mascot, get a free eye exam, and roller-skate to their hearts’ content!
